EXPLAIN AND CLARIFY A SITUATION
Blanca: Hi Xuni. How was your weekend?
Xuni: Not bad, thanks. Why do you ask?
Blanca: Because you told me that you were staying in on Saturday night, but I heard that you were at a party.
Xuni: Who told you that?
Blanca: Grace said that she'd seen you. How come you didn't tell me about it?
Xuni: Cause I was only there for an hour. My dad asked me to take my sister. I chatted to Paul for a while and then I left.
Blanca: Are you telling me the truth, Xuni?
Xuni: Honestly, it's true! If you don't belive me, you can ask Grace.
Blanca: OK, OK. I belive you. Sorry, Sergi.
Xuni: That's OK.
Xuni: Not bad, thanks. Why do you ask?

A happy ending
This time last, things weren't going too well for me. I'd failed some exams at my last school, and I also had a big argument whit my teacher Eva. Before I hated English! Everithing changed for me the day I went to Casa Nostra school. In Casa Nostra everithing was different. There was very good English teacher, her name is Alex Mach, I love her.
These days, I feel much happier. Now I work hard and I amb very motivated. I like English very much. In my opinion Casa Nostra is the best school in (Pla de l'estany).

I think I'm involved in this drug, because at any moment I'm stuck in one of these electronic gadgets. Every day I log in facebook and msn, like all my friends.
Of course all of these devices lead us to a world very inappropriate for us. The bad part is that you will have consequences. So my parents forbid me some days to connect to facebook.
In conclusion, it is clear to me that I'd have to reduce hours of facebook.

I don’t think that the world is a bad place, but I think it would be better, but one thing that annoys me is when people are unfriendly with me.
As far as the future is concerned, it sometimes worried me the world is ending soon.

In this 3D computer-animated film, Blu is a blue macawwho can't fly. He lives whith his owner and fest friend, Linda, in Minnesota, USA. Linda thinks Blu is the last blue macaw in the world. Hot cross buns are sweet, spiced buns made with raisins and have a cross on top. They are traditionally eaten at Easter and are said to bring good things for the future. Blanca: Oh, I've just heard that my best friend's father has got a job in USA, and she's moving away
Xuni: Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. It isn't the end of the world though
Blanca: I know, but I'm really going to miss her
Xuni: don't take it too badly- at least you can visit her on summer holidays. USA is really cool.

British people have an extra public holiday this yeasr. On 29 of April, Prince of William and Kate Middleton are getting married... and every one will get on day of holiday to celebrate.!

SHERLOCK HOLMES
He is a fictional detective created by Scottish author and physician Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. A brilliant London-based "consulting detective", Holmes is famous for his astute logical reasoning, his ability to take almost any disguise, and his forensic science skills to solve difficult cases.
THE FILM
Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes appeared for the first time in A Study in Scarlet in 1887, and he soon became the most famous literary detective of all time.
Here we see him at work in three stories: solving the problem of the hat and the goose in "The Blue Carbuncle"; finding the missing fiancé in "A Case of Identity"; and discovering the identity of the strange creature in "The Yellow Face".

Are you a tangled mess of BlackBerrys, emails, PDAs, iPhones, laptops, and cell phones? In my opineon all these electronic gadgets are like a drug, I can not live without them.
I think I'm involved in this drug, becouse at any moment I'm stuck in one of these electronic gadgets. Every day I log in facebook and msn, like all my frients. Of corse all of these devices lead us to a world very inappropriate for us. The bad part is tht you will have consequences. So my parentsforbid me some days to conect to facebook.

History of surf.
Surfing is one of the oldest practiced sports on the planet. Surfing is also one of the few sports that creates its own culture.
The act of riding waves with a wooden board originated in Western Polynesia over three thousand years ago. The first surfers were fishermen.
Early historical records of surfing appear in the late 1700s, when Europeans and Polynesians made first contact in Tahiti. Only three types of trees were picked to make a board.
There were four basic boards in Hawaii:
- The paipo or kioe, a body board, from 2-to-4 feet long, usually used by children.
- The alaia (ah-LAI-ah) or omo (O-mo), a mid-sized board, about 8 feet or longer.
- The kiko`o, larger than the alaia, but not as big as the biggest boards; between 12 and 18 feet; good for bigger surf, but requiring a high level of skill to handle.
- The olo (O-lo), a very long surfboard reserved for royalty that could be as long as 18-to-24 feet in length.
